Justices on some of our Service Desks have encountered challenges explaining the meaning and importance of a statutory declaration to clients for whom English is a second language. There are a number of tools available to help with this such as Justices who are fluent in languages other than English. A list of those with language skills can be found here.
As an alternative, there are now a set of 7 translations of the statutory declaration form covering Mandarin, Tongan, Samoan, Arabic, Farsi, Korean and Spanish. These can be found on our website in JP corner under the heading Resources Please print and use these to help explain the process to your clients.
