Justices on some of our Service Desks have encountered challenges explaining the meaning and importance of a statutory declaration to clients for whom English is a second language. There are a number of tools availalble to help with this such as Justices who are fluent in languages other than English. A list of those with language skills can be found here.
As an alternative, there are now a set of 7 translations of the statutory declaration form on our website here covering Mandarin, Tongan, Samoan, Arabic, Farsi, Korean and Spanish. Please print and use these to help explain the process to your clients.
