Some tips for avoiding scams

Artificial Intelligence (AI) makes scams even more convincing. Follow these tips to stay safe:

 – Ask callers to confirm their identity especially if they’re asking for money or personal information.

 – Unexpected call? Listen out for long pauses, a lack of emotion, and signs of a distorted voice.

 – Online videos? Look for anything unusual in the face, body movements, hands and background – they could be faked.

 – Do your research. Are celebrities promoting topics they wouldn’t usually talk about?

 – Trust your instincts. If a deal looks too good to be true it probably is.
