Should a NZ Passport be signed by the holder?

28 June 2024 Frank Rands
To answer a question asked at HUB sessions….
On the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in the section on NZ Passports (https://www.mfat.govt.nz/en/embassies/passports-and-visas) is the following statement:
” Your passport should be signed. Signatures are not required if the passport holder is unable to sign or is a child under 10 years.”
