On 15 October 2022, two hundred and twenty-five guests celebrated the AJPA Centenary with a special dinner held at the Royal NZ Yacht Squadron in Westhaven. This celebratory event culminated in a year of special occasions honouring the services that tens of thousands of Justices have given to the citizens of Auckland in the past one hundred years.
AJPA Members, Life Members, Past Presidents and Royal Federation Board Members mixed and mingled prior to enjoying a very fine dinner. As MC for the evening Ric Carlyon guided the programme with expertise.
We were honoured to have Judge Charles Blackie QSO VRD entertain us with some of the “highlights” of his time as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pitcairn Island, and advisor to the Governor of Pitcairn Island.
The AJPA President Alan Martin and newly sworn Justice Jacky Lam cut the Centenary Cake together at the conclusion of the evening.
