Photographic ID
Retaining Photo ID in Later Years
As we get older, many of us stop driving and no longer travel overseas. This often means our driver licence or passport is no longer current— and may no longer be an acceptable form of photo ID.
SuperGold Card
Here’s a simple and free solution you might like to consider: Have your photo added to the back of your SuperGold Card.
This service is available at any AA Centre or Vehicle Licensing outlet (they will take your photo). All you need is:
- Your SuperGold Card
- Three documents verifying your full name, date of birth, and address
- One of these documents must be at least two years old
This is a free service that will ensure you retain valid photo ID for everyday use.

Kiwi Access Card
Another option is to apply for a Kiwi Access Card via their website.
