Notes from March 20th meeting of AJPA Council

The Council of the Auckland Justices of the Peace Association met on March 20th.

  • Hon. Nicole McKee MP, Associate Minister of Justice, gave a presentation at the Royal Federation JP Conference 2025, which included references to the changes to the JP Act.
  • In the Auckland Region, 825 out of 1,110 members are accredited—74.3%, reflecting an increase of 2.1%. 
  • The next Swearing-In ceremony is scheduled for Monday, 19th May. 
  • The annual  Support Group Coordinators and Rosterers Meeting will take place on 5th April at Rose Park Hotel. 
  • The JP Desk at Westfield Newmarket will open on Sundays from late July.
  • If a JP requires assistance from an Issuing Officer, Nominated person, or Section 9 (Special Functions), please contact our President Ian Gibson, who will provide the necessary information.
