Notes from February Council Meeting

The Council of the Auckland Justices of the Peace Association had their first meeting for 2025 on February 12th.

  • Planning is well advanced for the meeting of Support Group Coordinators and Rosterers to be held on April 5th
  • The first Inservice Training Workshop has been conducted in Mangere and the second will be in Flat Bush on March 20th. These workshops will replace the large HUB meetings we have held for the past few years. If you wish to attend the ITW please register by email.
  • The Service Desk at Westfield Newmarket is planning to open on Sundays as well, starting in July. The SDs which currently open on Sundays experience a high demand for JP services so SGCs are encouraged to consider extending SD hours to include Sundays where possible.
  • Work is underway to draft  the changes to the AJPA constitution which are necessary to comply with the updated Incorporated Societies Legislation. These will be presented to the next AJPA AGM in September
  • 70 JPs have STILL not paid their subscriptions to AJPA. These are now 6 months OVERDUE.  Please pay your $55 to AJPA bank account 38-9018-0314770-00 and record your name and JP number in the particulars & reference fields
