- Ten new JPs were sworn in on 03/02/2026.
- Completing affidavits and statutory declarations via AV link. (see separate post) There are specific legal requirements which mean AV document processing cannot be done at a service desk. JPs who served via Zoom during Covid may wish to provide this service but there are legal constraints and costs. JPs who do not want to provide service by AV are asked to refer clients to the District Court.
- Thank you to the JPs who are willing to assist at service desks where there are gaps in the rosters. Currently both Auckland District Court and Auckland Central Library are seeking more JPs to fill their rosters. Contact Don Graham (don@jpauckland.org.nz)
- Friendly reminder: The annual meeting for Rosterers and Support Group Coordinators will be held on Sunday 12 April at the Parnell Conference Hotel.
- Following the law change in October 2025 there are new Marriage Dissolution forms and a helpful “Guide to Divorce”.
- KiwiSaver hardship withdrawal forms: Please refer to the JQ January for guidance on how to assist clients who provide only the single statutory declaration page.
