Justices of the Peace serving Auckland’s Northwest and their partners met with their Local Member of Parliament, Chris Penk at a successful social evening held at the Riverhead Bowling Club at the weekend. Local businesses, recognising the voluntary nature and valued services provided by Justices of the Peace, contributed generously towards the evening.
MP Chris Penk warmly acknowledged the important contribution made by of the local Justices of the Peace. He spoke of his formal role interviewing prospective Justices, assessing their suitability and assessing how many are needed in areas of the Northwest, before making recommendations to the Ministry of Justice.
