In September 1966 Her Majesty the Queen
approved the grant of the prefix “Royal” to the
name of the Federation. The news was
announced on National Radio.
At the March 1967 Conference in Auckland, it
was resolved to change the name of
Federation to “Royal Federation of New
Zealand Justices’ Associations Incorporated”.
The Royal Federation acknowledges the
Queen’s exceptional commitment and service
to the Commonwealth and to Justice.
