FROM THE PRESIDENT – Federal Structure Review discussion

The Royal Federation Board has prepared a discussion document in relation to the consideration of the possible restructure of the current organisational model, that is, the Royal Federation, whose members are 28 JP Associations around the country.

AJPA are planning to run three discussion zoom sessions so that our members have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss options before attempting to answer the questions raised in the discussion document.  The zoom meetings will be held at

1900 – 2000 hrs on 6 August,

1900 – 2000 hrs on 12 August 

1900 – 2000 hrs on 25 August. 

Each Zoom meeting will be identical, so it does not matter which Zoom you attend.

Please follow these instructions on how to access the discussion document and the form for submission on the AJPA website.

1. Select JP Corner from the Main Menu
2. Enter your AJPA Password
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the menu and from the left-hand menu select Federal Structure Review
4. Read the discussion document
5. Complete and submit the form

The restructure options and discussion document will also be discussed at the Auckland Regional Conference scheduled for 22 September 2024. 

This is your chance, as members of AJPA, to let us know your thoughts on the subject. This will be a topic on the agenda for the Royal Federation Annual General Meeting next year so we (AJPA) need to be prepared to represent you, our members. The AJPA council have discussed this and have some understanding/opinions and we are keen to hear from our members as to their thoughts and opinions.
