Be alert: Please do not administer Sovereign Citizen’s documents

Please be aware that there are active Sovereign Citizens who have been approaching service desks in the eastern bays area and Panmure. 

Sovereign Citizens, who do not recognise the authority of NZ Parliament, NZ Law or NZ Courts are seeking to have a Justice of the Peace, who acts under NZ Law, authenticate their document(s).

Our response is simple – as they do not recognise NZ statutes, which provide the authority for a JP to act, there is no obligation for a JP to do anything for them.

Please be alert and avoid signing or stamping their document. They may use intimidation in order to obtain what they want. Politely and firmly refuse to comply with their request.
