Is it the Justice’s responsibility to fully read and understand the contents of a client’s document?

A) Yes, they must be able to explain the legal implications

B) No, but they should confirm the client is aware of the contents

Answer B   It is not the Justice’s responsibility to understand the contents, but we should confirm the client understands what they are signing.
