AJPA History – Our Centenary On-Line
Over the course of celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of the Auckland Justices of the Peace Association we presented an item each week touching on various aspects of the Association and its members: some content serious, other material amusing or quirky.
Here’s a further series of slightly longer items helping to tell the surprising story of the very first Justices in Auckland, those early days serving colonial Auckland, the century since the Association was founded in 1922 and the long struggle women had before they could be Justices.
A 100th birthday presents a milestone opportunity to look back…then to see where we are now… and to think about the future.
